BCS SESSION: Mr Black Presents “Anatomy of the Espresso Martini”

  • Bartender's Circle Summit 600 Pine Street - Floor 3 Seattle, WA, 98101 United States (map)

Ever wondered what makes an Espresso Martini frothy, and why some ’spros are a thin, froth-less mess? Join us to find out.

Join Mr Black West Coast Brand Ambassador Erin Schaeferle for a deep dive into the history, craft, and chemistry behind the Espresso Martini. From its origins to the perfect pour, discover why a well-made espresso martini is truly greater than the sum of its parts. To follow, a few volunteers can apply what they’ve learned and show off their frothiest ’spro in a mini Shake Off competition!

Why You Should Attend

  • Espresso Martinis aren’t going anywhere - they’re now the #3 most searched cocktail on google

  • A well made Espresso Martini is one of the most frequently re-ordered drinks at the bar

  • Understanding the science behind the serve helps in cocktail R+D and menu strategy
